Archives

The Architectural Archives Committee, authorized by CILF in 1984, collects, catalogs, preserves, and makes available material concerning the architectural heritage of Central Illinois. The committee's purpose is to emphasize the permanence of its archival holdings and the continuing importance of architectural contributions to the quality of life in our area.

The Archives currently contain more than 20,000 sheets of drawings representing 765 buildings and the work of 200 different firms.  Archival material includes—but is not limited to—plans, drawings, prints, notes, photographs, books, and artifacts relating to structures located in or associated with Central Illinois.

Use of the Architectural Archives is by appointment. For information email us at cilf.peoria@gmail.com
